I like DarkMystery727's composition and structure, despite a couple of questionable patches in the mix. Cryref22 showed similar good compositional steps, which vied for first place but I had to make a choice.

TheVideoGamer - This track is essentially an excerise in the four seasons. Although all written at 180bpm in a DnB style, we go through 4 parts of different key signatures and moods, that all take us through each season. We start with spring, which is written in C Major, and is mostly bright and airy, and both mellow but with a bit of energy. We then modulate to Bb Flat Major were we are in the summer season, marked by some steel drums for a bit of a beach vibe, and a more syncopated lively rhythm. We modulate again into F Major where it's the autmn season, marked by a more melody driven approach, and smooth pad chords, highlighting the calm nature of leaves falling. Lastly we transition to G Major, where tubular bells grace our ears for the winter season, alongside some lively stabbed piano chords, giving a feeling of playing in the snow at christmas. After that we go back to the first theme, to finish it off, both for the 6 minute length lol, and so it can end properly. As a concept i really like this a lot, it's creative, and it fits the theme, and the melodies are good. But it's probably not the best mix wise, but that's because i was too focused on making each section different to match the seasons, so potential is abound here. Still though, glad you liked it regardless!

Koekepan - Koekepan has long returned, this time a 4 minute eletronica piece that is way more synth heavy, than what you would expect from Koekepan (Even if you make a lot of synth based music). Loving these arps, it's quite science fiction like, as if i'm in a terminator movie. It's a slow developing one, the drums come later than expected, and it's more reliant on sound effects, over melodies, but the overall result is very nice. I love the juicy basslines, and the slow twanging synth leads. Simple but very effective. I don't think i can really identify anything bad to say here, this one was great. Could see myself voting for this one, awesome work!

DarkShadow - Classic DarkShadow sawtooth bass and techno drums. Also has that time signature craziness, this time though with more dissonance than last time. It feels like the melody is mostly just chromatic, with little to no direction. Don't get me wrong i don't mind that, but it makes the track harder to follow. I do like the gabber part towards the end, it feels more like straight rave music. Not my favourite from you, but it was a lot of fun, i really dig it. Good job!

cryref22 - Welcome new person, not yet heard your music, i hope you stay awhile. Really pretty soft pads, almost like a keyboard synth of some kind. Really loving the slow reverb fade, really going for something dynamic. Loving the bird synth and the chords, it's quite uplifting and happy. I really feel like you've fitted this theme exceptionally well. I love the B Section to, man this one is quite dynamic, and you've packed a lot for just one hour. I do wish for a bassline here, to kick it up a notch, but everything sounds really nice. Towards the middle i felt it got into more of a FM slant, but the overall sound is actually lovely. Really pretty stuff, exceptional first entry. I really wanted to vote for this, but alas i can only pick 3. Still though, awesome work!

jxsl - Ooh that is some compression, a bit intense for my liking. Loving the square wave and kickdrum combo. Wasn't expecting trance, but i'm all for it. That kickdrum is really pushing me down, it sounds quite epic, almost to the point it's clipping. Don't get me wrong, trance should be pumping as hell, but if it's to the point it's basically unintentionally distorted, you start to loose me a little i'm sorry. I love the arps and melodies though, it's quite pretty, it's just sadly very very overblown, making it quite clipped. Sorry dude. Still though it was a lot of fun, with great melodies. Good job!

DarkMystery22 - Another new person! I assumed cryref22 reccomended this place, or you're both buddies maybe, either way welcome! You also went for the four seasons approach, this is quite uplifting also, very much reminds me of a children's cartoon i love the cuteness. The melodies are wonderful, the flute is really great (Although mildly loud in parts, not gonna lie). But the whole thing is very catchy and emotional. I can almost hear the classical music influence in some parts of the composition here. The whole thing whilst not the best mix wise personally, was just wonderful from a composition point of view, and why i gave you this one. I loved it a lot, well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Oh variations eh? Already liking that chiptune lead, and the delay effect, it sounds quite bright for something belonging to the 8-bit family. That is quite the nice groove, even if more or less entirely in the chiptune range. Of course this doesn't last long as we transition into DnB, but with more bright airy synths and piano work, making it much more than 8-bit. It's very chill and pretty, with a really nice almost beach theme in some parts. I am reminded of the label Omni Music. Of course being Variations we move into a fire trap section, that isn't really trap to me, but it does belong to that EDM mindset. Of course it doesn't last long, as another variation happens where it's more orchestral, but with a interesting Drill hybrid, and a ethnic melody. Man you really know how to mix random sounds, it's so all over the place. And then it's Lo-Fi hip hop damn lol, let me process each section! You're giving me so much to write, because every section is so new and random, yet the melody is still there. Eventually we fade out, with a piano, bringing to a close, a very creative and cool piece, that despite it being the living embodiment of ADHD, had a lovely progression, great variations, and was just a lovely fun journey. So fun and unique i placed it on the 2nd spot. Incredible work!

Arcana - Cool synths, kind of dark but quite funky. Almost went the Andalusian cadence then, but instead it's a variation. The drums are on the lighter side, but i don't feel like it ruins the track. If anything the whole mix is kind of quiet, in my opinion. I do like the vocal line a lot, it's great, however i feel the chord progression doesn't match the vocals, it seems a little lost. I do like how it finds stability in the end, it ends on a tonal note. The idea is actually pretty wonderful, it just needs a bit of refinement. The reverb at the end was lovely, very spacious, but the chord progression in the middle was a little lost, and i feel like stronger drums and louder mix could also benefit this track. Still though, a lot of fun, and a sick selection of effects here to boot. Good job!

BJKMenu - Ok Koekepan's progression in BJK form, i like that idea. It's quite the unique progression, we modulate to a lot of key signatures here. Loving the dynamic bass notes, and guitar noodling. I do like how the melody comes in the middle, it was late, but very satisfying. Not sure if i prefer a synth to an organ, as i felt the organ didn't add that much, but however it is a bit of a nitpick, as the rest was pretty lovely, and i didn't think it was enough to take it away from the awesome section. Well done!

NickC - You're back! I missed your entries. I wasn't expecting such a deep sub this week, man it's like 80 percent low end. For a theme of this calibre, it's a little unusual, but i do like the slow breathy pads in the background, i feel like i'm in a cave of some sorts. It's really dark and atmospheric, so not my first choice, but it's quite pretty from a melody stand point. The melody is not in your face, and it mostly blends in the background, but yet it really adds something. Mostly bells and mallets, but more of a background soundscape than a straight up melodic piece. Whilst not theme accurate, i really did enjoy this one a lot, it's very very pretty melodic, and has a great progression. Love how you amped up the melodies at the end, and removed the sub, it was a complete 180. This also feels like the DDRKirby entry, in that you also completely change it up and just give me so much random sections. I don't even have time to keep up lol. I thought we were riding the sub train throughout, but i guess not. The ending was too much not gonna lie, each part was random, and the last few seconds was straight up a dissonant jumpscare, but if it's just purely on the first section, then yeah, i think it's enough to tip this into the awesome section. I would still vote for this despite my critiques. Awesome work!

Coloradoweeks - More pretty music! This time with some really cool detune and some great 7th chords. It's so detuned it's practically 0.5 cents less. This is such a lullaby, i feel sleeping. The vocal work is wonderful, and the chords are mellow but with enough dissonance to spice it up. The harmonisation in the middle is amazing, man i feel like i'm kind of underwater, it's so chill and relaxing, but not too relaxing, has a middle unerving edge to it. This is wonderful, what else can i say. In fact, i made no hesitation to put it on the top spot, it was amazing. Incredible work!

Misael.K - Wow lyrics! Loving these synths, quite the 80's sound, but in a more modern setting. These synths are quite uplifting so far for a Misael entry. The drums are very slack in a good way, i feel like i'm lagging behind. The filtered synths are a lovely touch too, i totally feel the neon 80's coming through. I feel like the drums in some ways could be a bit beefier, especially when the melody becomes more intense, but aside from that it's beautiful. Maybe the description isn't lyrics, because i'm not hearing you sing here. Either way, the composition is beautiful, as is the melody. All it really needs is just stronger drums (Just a little beef that's all). Still wonderful though, so wonderful i chose it for the 3rd spot on the back on the amazing melodies. Amazing work!
