(Lucifer, the brightest star, was cast from heaven for defiance against God. He is cast from heaven and then Tempts humanity in Eden, calling on us to know the truth about God as he sees it.)
Oh amazing grace how sweet thy sound
to save a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I am found
was blind but now I see
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear,
the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come.
Tis Grace has brought me safe thus far,
and Grace will lead us home.
But there is one who Grace touched once
not with light, but fire and death
That angel’s power was unlike all,
So the lord could not him test
So Grace did smite the brightest star
from heav’n the greatest fall
For that star did dare to question Grace
and claim God is not all
That fall through fire to dark like death
Would have broken any man
But the brightest star, would show his scar
He would not be banished yet.
In Eden’s walls, Eve knew God’s laws
In Grace she found relief
But the snake had traveled long and far
It told her to be free
With one crisp bite, the Lord did rage
His anger a thousand suns
For with knowledge old,
he’d lost our souls, For like gods, we now were whole.
Oh amazing Grace, how sour thy sound
to claim a wretch of me
I once was lost, but now am found
with Grace nowhere to see.
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
The Lord who struck me down
If I should side with any power
it’s the one who brought us home
Oh amazing grace how sweet thy sound
to save a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I am found
was blind but now I see
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
